Preparing Hearts and Families for Transformation
As part of our continuing series on emerging faith communities, Atlantic Digest spoke with Segun Adepoju, Lead Servant of Churchshift Ministry International, about their upcoming Family Weekend event and the ministry’s mission to impact families spiritually. The Houston-based ministry, though relatively new, has already established a strong online presence and is preparing for significant community outreach.
About Segun Adepoju
Segun Adepoju is the Lead Servant of Churchshift Ministry International, a global apostolic mission committed to demonstrating Christ’s Love to all, through mission outreaches, and Bible teaching on social media platforms, live events, resource materials and books.
Segun is also a Bible teacher with apostolic calling. He likes to teach in churches, conferences, seminars, campuses, and fellowships. He is passionately committed to discipleship and leadership in the body of Christ. Across different ministries and churches, he has been a blessing to the body of Christ coordinating House Fellowships, Sunday School classes (both Adults and Youths), and Youth teacher and a mentor for over three decades now.
Segun has authored five (5) Christian books including Getting Unstuck (2021) and Leave Your Fear and Live Your Dreams (2024) which have blessed so many lives across continents.
Segun is a foreign trained attorney. He had his first Master’s degree (LL.M.) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and second Master’s degree (LL.M.) specializing in Tax Law, from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiator (AIPN). He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professional (IAPP).

Upcoming Family Weekend and Events
Interviewer: Can you tell us about the upcoming family weekend and events at Churchshift Ministry? What can attendees expect?
Segun Adepoju: Thank you, sir. Churchshift Ministry Int’l is having a special event this (2025) Summer called “FAMILY WEEKEND” – on August 1-3, 2025 (Friday – Sunday). Friday Night @ 7 pm (via ChurchshiftMinistryTV on YouTube) – One Hour uninterrupted prayers focusing on the family. Every problem in the natural world stems from problems in the supernatural world. We begin by addressing and resolving issues within families first, from the spiritual realm, on Friday night.
Interviewer: How do you think these events will impact families and individuals spiritually?
Segun Adepoju:
- Healing from depression, carryover trauma, and depression
- Healing from abuse and hurting
- Freedom from satanic oppression and family problems
- Getting your life back after divorce/separation
- Tips on detecting and preventing divorce/separation, and domestic violence
- Tips on family health and keeping the family together
Churchshift Ministry
Interviewer: What is the vision and mission of Church Shift Ministry, and how do you aim to achieve it?
Segun Adepoju: The vision: going and making disciples of all nations, empowering them by the Word of God so they can follow the Way of God and do the Will of God.
Mission: impacting the world with the love of Christ Jesus (God’s love in action) and leading them to fulfill God’s purpose.
We seek to achieve the above by evangelism, outreaches, and collaborations with like-minded partners.
Interviewer: Can you share a brief history of the church and its growth over time?
Segun Adepoju: We are relatively new. We received the vision in 2023 and started the first service on September 1, 2024. Inauguration took place on March 8, 2025. We are virtually on almost all social media handles, sharing the message of Christ’s love.

Evangelism and Outreach
Interviewer: What role does evangelism play in Churchshift Ministry, and how do you encourage members to share their faith?
Segun Adepoju:
- Sharing real-time connection and bonding, with opportunities to show Christ’s real love.
- Opportunities to know people, feel their immediate needs and their way of thinking
- We encourage members to share their faith (In God, through Christ Jesus) through lifetime evangelism – showing Christ’s genuine love by how we live, including our attitudes to others.
Interviewer: Are there any specific outreach programs or initiatives that the church is currently involved in?
Segun Adepoju: Our current outreach program is toward the Family Weekend. In addition, we engage in one-on-one outreach by sharing Christian tracts strategically.
Future Plans
Interviewer: What are your plans for the future growth and development of Churchshift Ministry?
Segun Adepoju:
- At least one or two international mission trips
- Immigration and international student seminar coming up in the last quarter of 2025
- Increasing online connections and participations globally – by seeking an increase in channel subscriptions and followership (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram)
- Increasing members’ physical attendance at our weekly services.
Interviewer: Are there any new initiatives or projects on the horizon that you’re excited about?
Segun Adepoju: Yes, we are expecting at least one book (Christian literature) to be published in 2025. Holding a crusade in one of the outskirts/suburban areas in Houston.
Pastoral Perspective
Interviewer: As a pastor, what do you believe is the key to building a strong, vibrant faith community?
Segun Adepoju:
- Importunate prayers
- Strong, deep Christ-like connection to people, i.e., genuinely seeking after people, knowing their needs, mobilizing help, and filling those needs. Connecting with people not to get what is in their pockets but to connect them with the Source (God).
- Servant leadership (leading by example)
Interviewer: How do you see Churchshift Ministry contributing to the broader Christian community in the future?
Segun Adepoju: By creating vocational training centers, educational and empowerment centers, and establishing a broad-based global communication network through which people will have access to the message of salvation and grow thereby.
