Hon. Amb. Kenneth Gbandi Receives Dual Christian Honours for Leadership and Humanitarian Service

Hon. Amb. Kenneth Gbandi, a renowned human rights advocate, diplomat and public affairs figure, has been selected to receive two prestigious Christian honours from the Brave United Pace Setters Ambassadors Chaplaincy Organization (RC: 7215632) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to humanitarian service, leadership and advocacy for justice.
The organisation, whose motto is “Serving God and Humanity,” will confer on him the Award of Excellence as the Best Personality of the Year 2026 and the Global Best Diplomatic Leadership Award 2026 during its annual conference scheduled for September 2026.
Announcing the recognition, Gbandi described the honour as another milestone in his journey of service, saying, “The faithfulness of the Lord is endless. I am deeply humbled and grateful to the Brave United Pace Setters Ambassadors Chaplaincy Organization for finding me worthy of yet another Christian recognition.”
According to the organisers, the awards recognise “exceptional service, exemplary leadership, and a steadfast commitment to humanity both nationally and globally,” as well as his role as “a voice to the voiceless, a fearless human rights advocate, and a symbol of philanthropic work and diplomatic engagement.”
Gbandi noted that the latest recognition represents his second honour in 2026 and the fourth Christian award he has received overall. He recalled receiving an award from Glorious Ark Assembly International Incorporated on April 26, 2026, for promoting good governance, leadership and humanitarian service. He also referenced the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Christian Motivation (D.CM) conferred on him in 2022 by New Dimension Seminary, Lagos, an affiliate of the International Fellowship of Christian Crisis Centers, USA, and the “Voice at Home and Abroad Ambassador” Award presented in 2023 by the One Accord Believers Fellowship.
Reflecting on the significance of the awards, Gbandi said they were “not to puff me up, but to serve as a quiet reminder of my responsibilities.” He added, “They inspire me to remain deeply committed to humble service, good governance, sound values, and the upliftment of humanity.”
The presentation ceremony is expected to attract Chaplains General from within and outside Nigeria, government officials, diplomats, religious leaders, professionals, community leaders and other distinguished guests. Organisers say the conference will provide a platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening partnerships aimed at advancing peace, security, justice and sustainable development.
Gbandi also expressed gratitude to Pastor Roland Ogbo for nominating him, stating, “My sincere appreciation goes to Pastor Roland Ogbo, who so kindly nominated me for this consideration.”
He dedicated the honours to his wife Tanja, his children Fabian, Nelly, E.C. and Ezinne, the Gbandi family, and members of the Akwukwu-Igbo community, including the Akwukwu-Igbo UK Chapter, Umu Akwukwu-Igbo Kingdom, and Umu Akwukwu-Igbo (Desert Warriors), acknowledging their unwavering encouragement and support throughout his journey.
Concluding his statement, Hon. Amb. Kenneth Gbandi said, “May the Almighty God alone receive all the glory,” reaffirming his commitment to continue promoting human rights, good governance, humanitarian service and diplomatic engagement both in Nigeria and internationally.
