These individuals and teams have demonstrated exceptional creativity, technical knowledge, and a profound commitment to giving back to Nigeria. From groundbreaking health solutions to sustainable agriculture and digital innovation, each project reflects the spirit of impact that drives the Nigerian Diaspora Organisation (NIDO).
This year, we are honoured to have an esteemed academic and professional leader chairing our selection panel.
Chairperson of the Selection Panel: Professor Joshua Onome Imoniana
Professor Joshua Onome Imoniana is a Professor of Auditing at the University of São Paulo. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants of Australia, Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT, and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He is a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna and a Visiting Professor at ESEG School of Management, France.
Professor Imoniana has held senior roles including Senior Auditor at IBRU, Senior IS Auditor at PwC, IS Audit Manager at Deloitte, Credit Risk Manager at ABB, and Controller at Canbras Cable TV. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Auditing Technology and serves on the International Auditing Assurance Standard Board Technology Work Group. He is a Distinguished Fellow of FIPECAFI, where he also serves in its Fiscal Council.

Each of the following finalists has put forward a project that has not only met the criteria of innovation, feasibility, and sustainability, but also showcases a deep love for Nigeria and a desire to contribute meaningfully to national development. Let’s meet them:
Akeem Olayinka Busari & Imam Malik Kabir
With one specializing in Clinical Biochemistry and the other in Cancer Biology, Akeem and Imam’s Mobile Laboratory Solutions project is a bold attempt to bring reliable diagnostics to communities in need.
Adeola Adesote
A cattle nutritionist and livestock expert, Adeola’s Beginner Feedlot Module (BFM) simplifies and scales beef production for smallholder farmers, empowering rural livelihoods.
Peace Oyeinmiede Ogonodi
Peace’s passion for language and culture is reflected in her project promoting Portuguese education in Nigeria, opening doors for cultural exchange and international collaboration.
Muhammad Alhaji Adamu
A food scientist and engineer with dual MSc degrees, Muhammad’s biodegradable food packaging project addresses environmental waste through sustainable innovation.
Blessing Onghaji Ukatu
Engineer, data analyst, and entrepreneur, Blessing’s mobile healthcare outreach bridges the gap in rural health access, while her sustainability work inspires across sectors.
Mobolaji Esther Oni
With over 10 years of diverse experience, Mobolaji’s AgriTech Bridge helps smallholder farmers thrive through mobile access to markets, inputs, and expert support.
Dr. Blessing Iveren Ejeh-Agada
A soil scientist, researcher, and sustainability advocate, Dr. Blessing’s Black Soldier Fly farming project supports regenerative agriculture and climate resilience.
Ogobuchi Daniel Okey
With expertise in IoT security and systems engineering, Ogobuchi’s project focuses on cybersecurity education, safeguarding Nigeria’s digital future.
