BUA Group Distributes N30 Billion Cash Awards To Staff For Loyalty And Dedication

BUA Group, a leading conglomerate, has announced a massive N30 billion cash award for its staff nationwide, with N13 billion presented immediately to top employees in a ceremony celebrating loyalty and long-term commitment. Five staff members were the highest recipients, being presented with N1 billion each for their dedication to the company.

Among the N1 billion recipients was Kabiru Rabiu, a Non-Executive Director at BUA Foods Plc and BUA Cement Plc, and Group Executive Director at BUA Group. The recognition event saw seven staff members receive N250 million each, nine awarded N200 million each, and sixteen employees receiving N100 million each. The remaining N17 billion of the total award fund will be distributed to other staff across the company’s offices nationwide, according to the press.

Speaking at the ceremony, the founder and chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, said the celebration was organized to recognize “good service, loyalty, commitment, resilience and the extraordinary power of faith.” He attributed the company’s growth to the dedication of its employees, noting that some awardees had been with the organization even before its formal establishment 37 years ago.

Mr. Rabiu emphasized that BUA Foods Plc is currently the largest company by market capitalization on the Nigerian Exchange, with the group’s subsidiaries collectively contributing trillions of naira in market value. He stressed, “This is not an achievement of one man or capital alone. It is your loyalty and dedication that built this company.” The chairman assured the 510 honored staff that the cash awards were merely a symbol of appreciation, assuring them that as the company expands, employees would continue to benefit from its growth.
