The Prime Minister of Mauritius and his Alliance Lepep have failed to win a single seat in an electoral massacre of unimaginable proportions, with Mauritians voting for change and becoming the second country in SADC to change government within a week after Botswana.
The opposition Alliance for Change coalition, led by Navin Ramgoolam, won all 60 seats on the mainland.
The Prime Minister has conceded defeat, but SADC chair Emmerson Mnangagwa has yet to congratulate the winners, despite the losers conceding defeat.
