No US Official To Attend G20 Summit In South Africa, Says Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump has announced that no US government official will attend the upcoming Group of 20 (G20) Summit scheduled to be held in South Africa. The President made the declaration in a post on his Truth Social platform, citing alleged human rights abuses against the Afrikaner minority group in the country.

Mr Trump wrote: “It is a total disgrace that the G20 will be held in South Africa. Afrikaners (People who are descended from Dutch settlers, and also French and German immigrants) are being killed and slaughtered, and their land and farms are being illegally confiscated.” He stressed that the diplomatic boycott would remain in place, stating: “No U.S. Government Official will attend as long as these Human Rights abuses continue.”

The President concluded his post by stating: “I look forward to hosting the 2026 G20 in Miami, Florida!”
