Simon Ekpa, the self-proclaimed leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been arrested by Finnish law enforcement authorities. According to BBC reports, Ekpa was apprehended in Finland and later remanded in custody by the district court of Päijät-Häme. The charges against him include the dissemination of terrorist propaganda via social media platforms, a violation under Finnish law.
Ekpa, who has been a prominent figure in the secessionist movement advocating for the creation of an independent Biafra, has faced increasing scrutiny for his online activities.
